The lecture by Rogier Moulen Janssen – on behalf of the Koninklijke Militaire Academie, Breda – takes us back to the 19th century, when the Netherlands and Luxembourg were linked by a personal union under the auspices of the House of Orange-Nassau.
Since his childhood in Limburg, Rogier Moulen Janssen has visited the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg several times and has studied the history of this country in the heart of Europe and its historical ties to the Netherlands, including the former duchy – now the Dutch province – of Limburg.
