Siggi, our new mascot, is coming to the museum to reinforce the site's image and promote our range of activities for young visitors! Siggi - named after Adam Sigmund von Thüngen, who once commanded the fortress - made his official debut on St Nicholas' Day.
With his arrival, the museum is now offering a treasure hunt called Fortress Fun, accompanied by an activity booklet! The booklet explores the Dräi Eechelen Museum's permanent collection from a child's point of view. Available in three languages, it is specially designed for young visitors aged 6 and over.
Discovering the museum with Siggi
Children are invited to follow Siggi, a guide like no other, on an exciting treasure hunt through the Dräi Eechelen Museum. He accompanies them as they discover the fascinating history of the fortress and its secrets.
Siggi, whose real name was Adam Sigmund von Thüngen, was the commander of the fortress over three centuries ago. Today, Siggi lives again at the Dräi Eechelen Museum to guide young visitors through a fun and educational adventure.
A treasure hunt full of challenges
With their notebook in hand, young visitors will be able to :
- Wander around the museum looking for clues.
- Look closely at the objects on display and decipher the legends to answer the questions.
- Collect letters as they answer, to form a code word.
When they find the magic word, a surprise awaits them at the museum reception, courtesy of Siggi himself. Enjoy your visit!
