Call for projects

Museum Night 2026

As part of Museum Night 2026, the seven participating museums in Luxembourg City are inviting artists to create a work or installation designed to be displayed at each of the seven museum venues during Museum Night on 10 October 2026.

We are looking for an artistic project capable of engaging a large number of visitors during the evening and offering a brief participatory and creative experience.

  • Villa Vauban – City of Luxembourg Art Museum
  • Casino Luxembourg – Contemporary Art Forum
  • Lëtzebuerg City Museum
  • Nationalmusée um Fëschmaart
  • Luxembourg National Museum of Natural History – Naturmusée
  • Musée Dräi Eechelen
  • Mudam Luxembourg – Museum of Modern Art Grand Duke Jean 

What we envisage:

A work, a device or a participatory installation spread across seven different stations, one per museum, or one that is built up from station to station,

Interaction with the Museum Night audience: hands-on activities, simple and quick contributions.

The project may include other contributors (performances), particularly for the educational outreach component.

Museum mediators may be made available to help facilitate and guide the experience.

Target audience:

The project must be aimed at the diverse audience of the Night of Museums (children, young people, adults and senior citizens)

Financial details:

Fixed amount for the project (including production): €15,000

Collaboration with museum operations teams for installation and outreach.

This call is open to:

artists or artist collectives residing in Luxembourg;

artists or artist collectives residing in the Greater Region: in this case, cultural ties to Luxembourg will be assessed;

Key dates:

The deadline for submitting applications is 15 June 2026.

Museum Night: 10 October 2026, 5.00 pm – 1.00 am.
