Back in the days of the fortress, there was already a pavilion at the Generolsgaart where you could relax on this promenade, which was open to the public on a seasonal basis. Following the development of the park on the former frontage of the plain, two concessions for lemonade stands were granted. The Villa Amberg and the Villa Louvigny, with their respective auditoriums, opened their doors, quickly becoming the venue for town meetings, concert evenings, variety shows, agricultural, horticultural and animal exhibitions, sports championships and political meetings.
