Quand artistes et artisans font la paire

Promenades architecturales du dimanche

In conjunction with the exhibition “Vu Lilien a Linnen” at the Nationalmusée um Fëschmaart, which is dedicated to Art Nouveau in Luxembourg, this guided walking tour takes you on a journey through the architectural gems of the Belle Époque in the city center. Art Nouveau, which emphasized craftsmanship in response to new building materials (iron, glass, and concrete), led to the emergence of two schools: the School of Industry and Commerce and the State School of Crafts. Participants will observe how, in architecture, this movement—balancing innovation and tradition—clearly manifests itself in a liberation from historicist constraints.

Start: Arcades Cercle Cité, place d'Armes

End: Hamilius

In Luxembourgish, free entry.
