The armament of the Federal Contingent

Thematic guided tour for the exhibition "Luxemburger Bundeskontingent"

No sooner had they been delivered than the artillery and cavalry weapons were sold off again during the reorganisation of the Contingent in 1847/48, notably to Denmark, with which the German Confederation was at war. From 1872 onwards, the corps introduced the ‘Luxembourg chasseur rifle, Remington system’.
