Occupying a prominent place within the museum, the relief model in the auditorium shows the state of the fortress in 1802. The bronze model, dating from 1903 and based on Captain Guillaume Weydert’s plaster model, depicts the fortress at its greatest extent in 1867. Both models provide an engaging illustration of the development of the fortifications and the transformation of the capital into a fortress city.
